Asia’s Biggest Dolby Cinema Screen Opens at Allu Cinemas, Hyderabad – World’s Second Largest!
Hyderabad’s cinema scene just got a massive upgrade! Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has officially soft-launched Allu Cinemas in Kokapet, introducing Asia’s largest Dolby Cinema screen — and the world’s second biggest in the Dolby format. This premium multiplex is set to redefine the movie-watching experience for Tollywood fans and cinema lovers across India.
A Game-Changer for Movie Enthusiasts
Located in the prime Kokapet area (within Allu Studios premises), Allu Cinemas boasts an impressive 75-feet-wide Dolby Cinema screen. Powered by cutting-edge Dolby Vision for stunning visuals, Dolby 3D for immersive depth, and next-generation Dolby Atmos sound, this auditorium promises crystal-clear pictures, deep contrasts, and multidimensional audio that pulls you right into the action.
During the recent soft launch event, attendees got a thrilling preview with trailers from upcoming blockbusters like The Raja Saab, Pushpa 2, Varanasi, F1, and Ramayana. Guests described the experience as “mind-blowing” with top-notch picture quality and sound that sets a new benchmark for premium cinema in Hyderabad.
A special mural inside the theatre pays tribute to the legendary Allu family legacy, featuring portraits of Allu Ramalingaiah, Allu Aravind, and megastar Chiranjeevi — a touching nod to Tollywood’s iconic heritage.
Grand Opening Buzz and What to Expect
The soft launch took place in early January 2026 in the presence of Allu Arjun’s family, Tollywood celebrities, and industry bigwigs. The official grand opening is expected around Sankranti 2026 (mid-January), possibly coinciding with a big-ticket release like James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash — the perfect film to showcase this massive screen!
Allu Cinemas features luxurious stadium-style seating, pitch-black auditorium design for zero distractions, gourmet food options, and high-end infrastructure. It’s already generating huge excitement among fans in western Hyderabad (Kokapet, Gandipet, Financial District areas) who no longer need to travel far for world-class viewing.
Producer SKN, who attended the tech check, called it the “next iconic spot” in the city, while Allu Arjun himself hinted at more surprises ahead.
Why This Matters for NRI Cinema Lovers
For Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) visiting Hyderabad or planning a Tollywood trip, Allu Cinemas is a must-visit destination. Whether you’re catching the latest Telugu blockbusters, Hollywood spectacles in Dolby 3D, or experiencing films like Pushpa 2 on the grandest scale possible in Asia, this theatre delivers an unparalleled cinematic thrill.
Bookings will soon be available on platforms like BookMyShow. Stay tuned for the full commercial launch — Hyderabad’s movie magic just leveled up!
