Job Description
\nCyberSync Solutions, a leading provider of network infrastructure and cybersecurity services, is seeking a dedicated Entry-Level Network Engineer to join our San Jose team. This role is tailored for international students on OPT or CPT pursuing degrees in Computer Engineering, Network Administration, or related fields, offering hands-on experience in designing and maintaining enterprise network systems.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities
\nAssist in designing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
\nMonitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues using tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, or Cisco Packet Tracer.
\nSupport the implementation of network security protocols and configurations (e.g., VPNs, VLANs).
\nCollaborate with senior engineers to deploy and test network upgrades and patches.
\nDocument network configurations, incidents, and resolutions for internal knowledge bases.
\nParticipate in on-call rotations for critical network support (compensated separately).
\nRequirements
\nBachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree (in progress or completed) in Computer Engineering, Network Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
\nKnowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP\/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
\nFamiliarity with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista) and operating systems (e.g., Cisco IOS).
\nBasic understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
\nValid F-1 visa with OPT or CPT authorization.
\nAbility to work at least 20 hours\/week (OPT) or as approved by DSO for CPT.
\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
\nPreferred Qualifications
\nCertifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent coursework.
\nExperience with cloud-based networking (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure Networking).
\nPrior internship or project experience in network administration or IT support.
