About the Role
\nAs a Mining Engineer in BHP\u2019s Resource Operations team, you\u2019ll work across some of Australia\u2019s most advanced mines\u2014supporting planning, production, and continuous improvement to maximize resource recovery and safety.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\nDevelop and implement mine plans and short-to-medium term production strategies<\/p>\n
Optimize drilling, blasting, and material movement operations<\/p>\n
Collaborate with geologists, maintenance, and safety teams on-site<\/p>\n
Use advanced mining software to model and track production performance<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards<\/p>\n
Ideal Candidate
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent<\/p>\n
Minimum 3+ years\u2019 professional mining experience<\/p>\n
Proficiency in software such as Surpac, Vulcan, or Deswik<\/p>\n
Strong understanding of open-pit or underground mining operations<\/p>\n
Fluent in English with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills<\/p>\n
Eligible for or interested in Subclass 482 Visa sponsorship<\/p>\n
Willing to transition to Permanent Residency (Subclass 186) after qualifying period<\/p>\n
