About the Role
\nYou\u2019ll be part of a dedicated blockchain security team working on secure smart contract frameworks, auditing tools, and protocol-level protections that safeguard Coinbase and its user base in the evolving Web3 landscape.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\nDevelop and secure blockchain-based applications and smart contracts (Solidity, Vyper, etc.)<\/p>\n
Conduct vulnerability assessments, audits, and threat modeling for DeFi protocols<\/p>\n
Collaborate with backend, security, and protocol teams on decentralized architecture<\/p>\n
Implement best practices in key management, data privacy, and secure contract deployment<\/p>\n
Monitor and respond to real-time threats and zero-day vulnerabilities<\/p>\n
Contribute to open-source security tooling for the Web3 community<\/p>\n
Ideal Candidate Profile
\n3+ years\u2019 experience in blockchain or smart contract development<\/p>\n
Strong knowledge of Ethereum, EVM, Layer 2 protocols, and DeFi ecosystems<\/p>\n
Proficiency in Solidity, Rust, Go, or TypeScript<\/p>\n
Experience with tools like Hardhat, Foundry, MythX, and Slither<\/p>\n
Passion for Web3 security, cryptography, and protocol integrity<\/p>\n
Eligible for or seeking sponsorship under Portugal\u2019s Tech Visa program<\/p>\n
