TCS, is building its largest delivery center in Brazil

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's largest IT services company by market capitalization and workforce, has announced the construction of its largest delivery center in Londrina, Paraná, Brazil. This state-of-the-art campus represents a significant investment of approximately USD 37 million (R$ 200 million or roughly INR 3,300 crore) and is poised to create over 1,600 new jobs, bolstering employment opportunities and economic growth in the region.

Key Details of the Expansion

Announced on January 27, 2026, the new owned facility in Londrina will serve as a strategic innovation hub for TCS in Latin America. The campus, expected to be completed by 2027, will consolidate the company's existing workforce (currently around 2,500 employees operating from three leased buildings in the city) under one roof while providing capacity for future growth.

The facility will focus on cutting-edge technologies, including:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Cybersecurity
  • Cloud computing (Google, AWS, Microsoft)
  • ERP solutions (SAP)
  • Business transformation and cognitive business operations

This expansion aligns with TCS's vision to become the world's largest AI-led technology services company, enabling clients in Brazil and across Latin America to accelerate digital transformation amid rapid technological change.

TCS's Long-Standing Commitment to Brazil

TCS has maintained a strong presence in Brazil for over two decades, with delivery centers in Londrina (since 2018), São Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro. The company serves more than 200 clients across diverse sectors, including banking, insurance, mining, retail, and telecommunications.

As the largest multinational employer in Londrina, TCS already employs thousands locally and has been recognized as a Top Employer in Brazil for 10 consecutive years. The new campus reinforces this legacy, offering best-in-class job opportunities, skill development in emerging technologies, and contributions to sustainable regional growth.

Official Statements

Bruno Rocha, Country Head of TCS Brazil, emphasized the strategic importance: "This new campus reinforces our commitment to Brazil and the entire Latin American region. Once ready, the state-of-the-art facility will represent a future-ready innovation hub designed to enable digital transformation for clients, contribute to the region’s sustainable growth, and offer best-in-class job opportunities for local talent."

Carlos Roberto Massa Júnior (Ratinho Júnior), Governor of Paraná, highlighted the broader impact during the inaugural ceremony at Palácio Iguaçu: "This new strategic investment will transform Paraná into one of the major centers of IT services in Brazil. The state government invests heavily in qualified training... All these factors contribute to TCS making this investment with the hiring of 1,600 people."

Why This Matters for Global IT and Local Economies

For India's IT sector, this move underscores TCS's global expansion strategy, leveraging talent pools worldwide while strengthening ties with emerging markets like Latin America. In Brazil, the project supports local talent development—especially in AI and tech education—amid the country's focus on digital economy growth.

As India's flagship IT firm, TCS (part of the Tata Group) continues to drive value creation for clients, employees, and communities, with a global workforce exceeding 580,000 across 55+ countries.
