Job Description
Insight Analytics Group, a fast-growing data analytics firm serving clients in retail, logistics, and technology, is seeking a talented Entry-Level Data Analyst to join our Chicago team. This role is ideal for international students on OPT or CPT who are passionate about transforming data into actionable insights. As a Data Analyst, you’ll work on real-world projects, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative, data-driven environment.
Responsibilities
Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using tools like Python, R, or SQL to identify trends and patterns.
Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI to communicate insights to stakeholders.
Collaborate with business teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and support data-driven decision-making.
Assist in developing predictive models and statistical analyses to optimize business processes.
Document data analysis processes and findings for internal and client use.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging analytics tools to enhance team capabilities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (in progress or completed) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Proficiency in at least one analytical tool/language (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or willingness to learn.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Valid F-1 visa with OPT or CPT authorization.
Ability to work at least 20 hours/week (OPT) or as approved by DSO for CPT.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework or projects in machine learning, statistical modeling, or data mining.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) or big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Prior internship or academic experience in data analysis or business intelligence.
