Senior Associate Application Engineer to join our remote team,
focusing on building and optimizing cloud-native applications to drive
our mission forward.
Role Overview
As a Senior Associate Application Engineer, you will design, develop,
and optimize cloud-native applications on leading cloud platforms
(GCP, Azure, AWS). You’ll leverage Docker, Kubernetes, and SQL to
build scalable, high-performance systems while collaborating with
cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
Design and develop cloud-native applications on GCP, Azure, and/or AWS.
Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes.
Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data management and retrieval.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable,
reliable solutions.
Implement best practices for cloud security, performance, and cost optimization.
Troubleshoot and resolve application and infrastructure issues.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
Requirements
Strong experience with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS).
Proficiency in containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
Solid knowledge of SQL and database management (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a
remote setting.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
(or equivalent experience).
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or
CloudFormation.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, or
cloud-native monitoring solutions).
Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional
Developer, AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate).
