About the Role
You’ll work within the Advanced Battery Technology division, focusing on the design, development, testing, and integration of cutting-edge lithium-ion battery systems used in the next wave of Mercedes electric vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize EV battery modules, packs, and thermal management systems
Support BMS (Battery Management System) integration and performance analysis
Conduct simulations and durability testing under European compliance standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across hardware, software, and manufacturing
Contribute to lifecycle sustainability, recyclability, and safety innovations
Document research, file technical reports, and present findings internally and externally
Ideal Candidate
Degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics
3–5+ years of experience in EV battery systems or related automotive domains
Proficient in CAD tools ( E.g., CATIA, Siemens NX ), MATLAB / Simulink, and CAN tools
Familiar with ISO 26262, UN ECE R100, and other automotive safety standards
Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus)
Eligible for or seeking EU Blue Card sponsorship for Germany
