Cybersecurity Analyst (Entry-Level)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – 3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

Salary: $35-$45/hour, based on experience and qualifications

Job Description
SecurePath Technologies, a leading cybersecurity firm specializing in threat detection and risk management, is seeking a dedicated Entry-Level Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Atlanta team. This role is ideal for international students on OPT or CPT pursuing degrees in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, offering hands-on experience in protecting enterprise systems and data.

Responsibilities
Monitor network traffic and security systems (e.g., SIEM tools, firewalls) to detect and respond to potential threats.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in implementing security patches and configurations.
Analyze security incidents and document findings to support incident response processes.
Assist in developing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and documentation.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system configurations and compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Participate in security awareness training and tabletop exercises for employees.

Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (in progress or completed) in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption protocols.
Familiarity with tools like Splunk, Nessus, Wireshark, or equivalent.
Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs).
Valid F-1 visa with OPT or CPT authorization.
Ability to work at least 20 hours/week (OPT) or as approved by DSO for CPT.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent coursework.
Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure) or endpoint protection platforms.
Prior internship or project experience in cybersecurity or IT operations.
