The court has reportedly accepted the petition, transferred aspects to the Family Welfare Committee, and summoned Vijay to appear on April 20, 2026.

Vijay (51) and Sangeetha (48), a British citizen and daughter of a prominent Tamil industrialist, tied the knot on August 25, 1999, in an interfaith Hindu ceremony in Chennai.
