Job Description
CyberSync Solutions, a leading provider of network infrastructure and cybersecurity services, is seeking a dedicated Entry-Level Network Engineer to join our San Jose team. This role is tailored for international students on OPT or CPT pursuing degrees in Computer Engineering, Network Administration, or related fields, offering hands-on experience in designing and maintaining enterprise network systems.
Responsibilities
Assist in designing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues using tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, or Cisco Packet Tracer.
Support the implementation of network security protocols and configurations (e.g., VPNs, VLANs).
Collaborate with senior engineers to deploy and test network upgrades and patches.
Document network configurations, incidents, and resolutions for internal knowledge bases.
Participate in on-call rotations for critical network support (compensated separately).
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (in progress or completed) in Computer Engineering, Network Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
Familiarity with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista) and operating systems (e.g., Cisco IOS).
Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
Valid F-1 visa with OPT or CPT authorization.
Ability to work at least 20 hours/week (OPT) or as approved by DSO for CPT.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent coursework.
Experience with cloud-based networking (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure Networking).
Prior internship or project experience in network administration or IT support.
